And the Oscar Goes To... The Hurt Locker -- Grote Winnaar!

De 82ste editie zit erop, en alle felbegeerde filmprijzen zijn alweer uitgereikt. De grote strijd ging tussen twee films, James Cameron's Avatar, dat het tot meest succesvolste film aller tijden heeft geschopt, en The Hurt Locker van regisseuse Kathryn Bigelow, de ex-echtgenote van Cameron. Hoewel voorspellingen al voor de uitreiking konden worden gemaakt, The Hurt Locker was toch wel één van de grote kanshebbers en heeft dat ook waargemaakt. Het oorlogsdrama dat zich afspeelt in Irak, heeft 6 van zijn 9 nominaties weten waar te maken, waaronder die van beste film, beste regie, beste originele scenario, beste film montage, beste geluid mixing en montage. Het sci-fi spektakel Avatar had tevens 9 nominaties, maar heeft er daar maar 3 van waargemaakt, namelijk die van beste cinematografie, beste art-direction en beste visuele effecten. Jeff Bridges kreeg eindelijk een oscar te pakken voor zijn rol in Crazy Heart. Die film mocht nog een oscar ontvangen voor beste soundtrack. Sandra Bullock schrijft net als regisseuse Bigelow geschiedenis tijdens deze uitreiking. De actrice kreeg de dag voordien de razzie, de anti-oscar prijs voor de slechtste prestatie van het jaar voor haar rol in All About Steve. Maar ze was moedig genoeg om de 'prijs' in ontvangst te komen nemen. Echte klasse aldus. En ondertussen kreeg ze voor haar rol in The Blind Side de oscar voor beste actrice in een hoofdrol. En niet bepaald een verassing, maar de Pixar animatiefilm Up haalde de prijs binnen voor beste animatiefilm en tevens ook nog de oscar voor beste muziek. De volledige lijst zie je hieronder staan. De geel-oranje achtige heeft telkens de oscar binnengehaald. Tot volgend jaar voor een nieuwe uitreiking.

inhoud Toch fijn dat ze in Hollywood toch nog voor een film met inhoud hebben gekozen en niet voor het 3D spektakel. Jammer dat Clooney zijn Oscar niet heeft gekregen. Nou ja, ik gun het Bridges ook.
